LITERARY FEST-2015 QUANTUM ABHIVYAKTI Ended With Full Joy And VigourBack
An – year - long wait finally got over with the inauguration of “Quantum Global Campus, Roorkee Literary fest 2015”. The competitive events of the fest were packed with the healthy feelings of team spirit & enthusiasm. To add glory to this successful event, the college organized a Kavi Sammelan which is the most cultured and refined amongst all the expositions of stage entertainment. The college relished the proud moment of having the renowned faces of the poetic world under the roof of its elegant auditorium .The Chairman, Shri Ajay Goyal ji felicitated all the invited legendary poets, esteemed guests and dignitaries from various industries and educational institutions of the region .He also added that these Kavi Sammelans are no more a mere display of literature genres, but a scintillating exhibition of humor, satire, sensation, love, patriotism and cultural values.
He further said that the honorable poets like Dr. Buddhinath Mishra, Dr. Suresh Awasthi, Ms Sonroopa Vishal, Wahid Ali Wahid, Sajjad Jhanjhat and Dr. Rahul Awasthi have revived the magic and joy of contemporary poetry, with a feeling of oneness and unity throughout the nation.
The students welcomed the poetic legends, dignitaries, guests and the event- judges by presenting them with bouquets and a huge round of applause.
The Chairman of the institute, Shri Ajay Goyal ji along with The Director General, Dr. S.C Handa, The Director of QST, Dr. Gulshan Chauhan & The Director of QSB, Dr. Rohit Kushwaha honored them with mementos and also a token of appreciation.
The proceedings were initiated with the lamp lighting ceremony at the idol of Goddess Saraswati by the Board of Governors (Shri Shyam Sunder Goyal ji, Shri Shyam Lal Garg Ji, Shri Anil Goyal Ji, Shri Ajay Goyal Ji, Shri Parveen Garg Ji, Mr. Shobhit Goyal & Mr. Shanky Garg), famous poets and the senior college officials.
On this auspicious occasion, Dr. Budhinath Mishra expressed his hearty thanks for the invitation to the event. He stated that apart from the fun element, that is so important in our lives, such events aim at promoting our literature and rich culture among our future generation. Poetry also has great potential of building bridges amongst a cross section of society.
Mrs. Neeta Sharma (Convener literary fest) gave an outline of the various events and briefed about the inter departmental competitions by informing the rules & regulations to the participants.
The poets in turns rendered outstanding verses in their melodious voices. Their humorous & satirical poems based on real life situations, made people burst into laughter. They enthralled the audience with their withy renditions & impressed with their philosophical ideas. The audience clapped joyfully and constantly when hilarious statements touched their funny bones.
The impeccable timing & delivery impressed the gathering. The mode at the venue became festive as poets, authors & singers recited measures of rhymes deftly wrapped in verses of poetry. Dr. Suresh Awasthi expressed his gratitude for inviting him to the event. He added that such events act as a platform, wherein they can exhibit their works and nurture their talents. Ms. Sonroopa Vishal, Mr. Wahid Ali Wahid, Sajjad Jhanjhat & Dr. Rahul Awasthi recited many of their famous poems rhythematically and got appreciations from the audience. Their untiring “shero shayari” won the hearts of everybody present in the auditorium.
The culmination of Quantum’s literary fest was supported by few competitive events such as Debate, Extempore, Poster making and Mobile Movie making competition. The competitions were challenging but the creativity and team spirit of the contestants made it a huge success. The teams were cheered and supported for their skills. In these events many hidden talents were revealed as they availed the golden opportunities. Students expressed their views certain social issues like, Is meat –eating unethical? and Is drug –testing on animal ethical?
Their confidence level and communication skills were remarkable. The contestants were appreciated for their art of expressing the views in a polite and decent manner. Students maintained their patience level even in the diverse and highly competitive moments of the events. The judges were impressed by the presence of mind and the knowledge of the students on their respective topics like Women’s right, Inflation good or bad?, Conservation of resources, Two-child policy in India, etc. The situation became challenging for the judges as they were compelled for a panel discussion to reach the final judgment. Judges congratulated and motivated all the participants by giving them some valuable tips to be successful in their future endeavours.
The Founder President, Shri Shyam Sunder Goyal Ji stated that Quantum Global Campus is consistently moving on the path of success with a mission imparting quality education and moral values. He also added that apart from the academic knowledge, we are making the students better human beings by imparting a sense of social responsibility.
During the prize distribution ceremony, the college officials and the elite judges presented the trophies and certificates to the winners and runners up of the various events. Names of the winners were as Suhani Singh, Aditya Joshi, Anubhav Verma & Piyush Sharma from ECE Department and Apoorva Mishra, Gunpreet Kaur, Sanchita Janwani & Monica Sapra were as Runner ups in the Extempore Competition. BJMC Dept. was declared winner for making the best documentary movie titled “I Quit” and ME Dept. was announced as Runner up for “Make in India” in Mobile Documentary & Movie Making event. Winner was Tanuja from EEE and Runner up was Suhani Sigh from ECE in Debate Competition. CSE Dept was winner and ECE Dept. was Runner up in Poster Making Competition. The CSE Department got the overall winner Trophy.
Towards the end of the program The Secretary of the campus, Mr. Shobhit Goyal proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, management, organizers and all those who contributed to the program for sparing their precious time from their tight schedules with their blessings for the bright future of the students. The program came to an end with the traditional “Kulgeet” presented by the students.
