A recent research conducted at Quantum School of Business by Mr. Lalit Sharma and Dr. Pankaj Madan on the students of Uttarakhand studying in various professional courses was recently published by Springer, a leading publisher of United Kingdom. The research has shown that past self-employment experience of a student has a negative impact on their entrepreneurial intentions. Students who had high academic scores were not interested to take up entrepreneurship as a career. No relationship was seen between the work experience (typically less than 3 years) and entrepreneurial intentions of students and students who were in MBA/PGDM, MCA & BHMCT courses were little better inclined towards taking up entrepreneurship as a career in comparison to the rest of the courses. This research paper has already acquired a place in Springer Top 50 Most popular articles worldwide in less than a month’s time.
