Splendid Inaugural Annual Fest “Dharohar” at Quantum College!

Dharohar is a platform for all the students of the campus from different courses as well as other aspirants from various other colleges of the region to come together to showcase their creative side. It provides the students with an opportunity to take some time off from their academic routine and participate in the fun filled extravaganza.

 The celebration was showered with a plethora of different events, spread over the huge campus with multiple fests like Technical, entitled “Edge”, Management , entitled “Ojas” and Cultural  entitled “Glitz”, blended with overall events like Lan Gaming, Photo Mania, Project Expo, Junkyard, Sketch-o- Car, Ad-o Mania, Debate, Duet Dancing, War of Bands, Collage Competition, B-Plan, Rangoli Making, Nukkad, Man Machine, Duet Singing, Software Expo, Programming Skills, Technical Events, Robowar and other Entertaining Events.

Inauguration of the Annual Fest “Dharohar”, started with lighting of the traditional lamp in the warm presence of Chief Guest, Brigadier Digvijay Setia, Commandant BEG, Roorkee, along with his wife, The Founder Presidents of the Campus, Shri Shyam Sunder Goyal Ji & Shri Shyam Lal Garg Ji, The President, Shri Praveen Garg Ji, The Chairman, Shri Ajay Goyal Ji, The Secretary, Er. Shobhit Goyal, Dignitaries and College Officials gave an auspicious beginning to grace the occasion. The college students showered a huge round of applause to offer a hearty welcome with flowers enthusiastically and presented a welcome song followed by “Ganesh Stuti” and a melodious “Kulgeet” of the campus that mesmerized and rejuvenated everyone.

Dharaohar Quantum Global Campus The Director General of the Quantum, Dr. S.C Handa, The Director of Technology, Dr. Gulshan Chauhan and The Director of Business School, Dr. Rohit Kushwaha formally welcomed Chief Guest and Dignitaries.

The Founder Presidents of the Quantum- Campus, Shri Shyam Sunder Goyal Ji and Shri Shyam Lal Garg Ji felicitated the Chief Guest and other Guests with special Mementos & Bouquets.

Dr. Rohit Kushwaha apprised The Chief Guest and Dignitaries of the efforts that the institution has exerted to create an environment and ambience that fosters learning, as it provides the students with opportunities to explore and grow, through situations that challenge them to identify their strengths and shed light on the annual fest of the campus.

The Director General of the campus, Dr. S.C Handa, introduced the Chief Guest and described his achievements and experiences that influenced many young minds for serving and development of the nation by making a career in Indian Army.

The Chief Guest, Brigadier Digvijay Setia in a joyous mood said “Quantum has set a standard for academic and extracurricular excellence that other institutes should also strive to emulate”. He further added that it has become crucial that students have practical experience along with theoretical knowledge and that they are armed to face modern day challenges and situations in these competitive times.

 The Cultural Program by students followed by a group dance set to music mix of Hindi and Punjabi and a traditional folk dance of Punjab depicting a scene celebrating happiness with vigour and excitement which left the audience tapping their feet. Artistically designed Rangolis on many floors highly amazed the spectators and it seemed as if a rainbow had been spread at the fest.

 The Chief Guest awarded the Meritorious and All Rounder performers of the college on the auspicious occasion of the fest namely Ankit Malhotral, ME, Parul & Komal, ECE, Prince Mittal, CE, Kanika Maheswari, CSE, Priyanka Bhatt, IT, Neha Gupta, MBA, Satakshi Jindal, BBA, Sawan Saini, ME and Pawan Kumar, CE from Diploma course as Branch Toppers and Arsalan Zakaria Alvi, ME, Shradha Tyagi, MBA , Deeksha Goel, BBA & Mohit Kumar, CE(Diploma) as All Round Performers.  He also motivated them to empower themselves for all their future endeavors and asserted that the students should carry forward the morals given by their alma mater and make these values a base of their future actions and thoughts.

 The Chairman, Shri Ajay Goyal Ji, emphasized the need of more such involvement of the Q-mates at national and global level competitions in future.

 The President of the Campus, Shri Parveen Garg was immensely proud of the efforts put into the events, the turnout at the venue and the overall success of the show.

 The mood was festive and upbeat as the participants were seen recalling how much “Dharohar” means to them and how much preparation goes into their performance before coming to Dharohar.

 Extravagant inaugural event was supported by blockbuster events like Group Dancing, Solo Singing, and War of Bands etc. The students from various colleges rendered raving performances at the fest.

Towards the end of the inaugural session, Mr. Shanky Garg proposed a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries, management, organizers and all those who contributed to the fest for sparing their precious time from their tight schedules with their blessings for a bright future of the students.

Inauguration of Dharohar concluded on a grand note, where everybody, enjoyed, sang, danced with War of Bands on Abhi to party shru hui hai, Tune Mari Entry yar dil main, Battein yeh kabhi na to bhul na, etc  and seemed excited & competitive. Chief Convener of the Dharohar, Mrs Neeta Sharma informed that the fest would see overwhelming students’ participation from various colleges of the region in the challenging events.
